Hey Y'all,
If you haven't been to the lodge recently, you've been missing out on a lot of great activities. Christmas time was a real hustle and bustle around here with the party for the kids and the collecting of toys and food for our various family assist projects. Not to mention the arrival of Santa and Mrs. Clause in the fire truck provided by the Hubert Volunteer Firefighters and the avalanche of kids in the big hall for the toy give away.
We have been having some really super Friday dinners and just a blast with the music and karaoke after. Congrats go out to our own Marsha for winning the district karaoke contest, she will now advance to Greensboro for the state competition in February. As of now, we have 4 members who will be attending the State Mid-Year conference later in February.
Also want to send out a big-ol atta-boy to Dale Kitt for becoming our newest Moose Legionnaire. We could sure use some more interest from you gents on joining with us in the Moose Legion, which is the first higher degree of the order on your way to the Fellowship and Pilgrim Degrees. The Moose Legion committee has made noises that they will be starting Sunday breakfasts up later in March so keep an eye open for that announcement. This lodge will also be hosting a weekend long Moose Legion Celebration the third weekend in July. Stay tuned for more info on that.
We must also keep in mind that we are always in need of new members. It is all of our responsibility to tell our friends and associates about the great lodge we have and what we do in the community.
Well, enough for now, see y'all at the lodge hall!!!!!
