Well what do you know, here we are at the end of another moose year. Elections are coming up in April and a fresh board of officers for both the lodge and chapter will be grabbing up the reins to steer us into the next term.
By all appearances, it would seem we have had a banner year and the road ahead looks to be free of any foreseeable road blocks. This time last year, the task ahead looked just a bit daunting. But, with the diligent efforts of our officers and participation from our wonderful members we managed to climb a huge hill and the future looks absolutely rosy from up here.
Looking around our lodge home, we see that smoke eaters have been installed in the social quarters, along with a new beer cooler under the bar and a soda cooler in the store room. We have acquired some new equipment for the kitchen and repaired our vent hood over the range. Our roof only leaks in one place now when the wind is up to gale force and the plumbing for the most part is all working without problems.
We have begun the installation of hookups for recreational vehicles out in the side yard and new flags are flying on our flag pole.
Our social-quarters management team has carefully reviewed our pricing structure and inventory levels and we are happy to report that we are operating at a profit these days. You may also have noticed that the quality of the meals that are being served have improved significantly with the help of all of our culinary volunteers. My hat goes off to all the great cooks,
This place is a whole lot cleaner, brighter and a dern sight more cheerier than it was this time last year all because of y'all!
Thanks again to all the retiring officers and good luck to those on your way in. As your administrator, I look forward to a great year ahead and am eager to help the new governor and senior regent in any way I can to make next year even greater than the one past. Together, we can build that strong foundation we keep hearing about.
See y'all at the lodge hall!
